The audit trail
Every envelope keeps a record of what happened to it: when it was sent, when each link was opened, when each signer signed, from what network address and browser, when reminders went out, and when it completed. The record travels with the completed document.

The honest position on enforceability
The product proves that somebody with access to a specific email address completed the fields at a specific time, and it keeps a detailed record of that. It does not verify who they are — there is no document check, no knowledge-based authentication, no qualified certificate. For most commercial agreements in most jurisdictions that is enough and is routinely enforceable. For anything with a statutory form requirement, a notarisation requirement, or a qualified-signature requirement, it is not. Take advice about your specific document rather than assuming either way.
The category of document where people most often assume wrongly: property transactions, wills, certain employment and consumer notices, and anything required to be witnessed. Those vary by jurisdiction and are worth checking once rather than discovering later.
What this does not do
Control of an email address is the assurance provided.
No eIDAS QES or equivalent.
There is no witness role or flow.
Not supported in any form.
No access code, SMS code, or knowledge-based challenge.

Can a signer decline?
Yes, with a reason. The envelope ends and everybody is told.
What if the link is forwarded?
It is bearer access to that signer's fields. Treat the address as the control and send to the right one.
Can we download the audit trail?
Yes, with the completed document.
