What arrives here

  • A task assigned to you.
  • A mention of you in a comment.
  • A change to a task you own or follow.
  • A comment on something you commented on.
  • A due date approaching on your work.

You are subscribed to a task by owning it, commenting on it, or being mentioned. Following can be turned off per task, which is the correct response to a thread that has moved past you.

Turn the email off, keep the inbox on

The common configuration that works: no email for assignments and changes, email only for mentions. The rail count is enough to bring you back for everything else, and an inbox you check is better than an inbox that mails you.

What this does not do

No snoozing

An item is unread, read, or archived.

No filters or rules

You cannot route items by project or type.

No cross-module inbox

CRM, Sign and the portal each have their own. There is no single suite-wide queue.

Questions

Can I unfollow a task?

Yes, from the task.

Does archiving delete anything?

No.

Why do I get items from projects I am not in?

You should not. A mention can reach you, but the task itself will not be readable.
