Preparing one
The final version. Editing after sending means voiding and starting again.
Name and email address for each. There is no account to look up.
Signature, initials, date, and any text fields a signer must complete. A field belongs to a specific signer.
Sequential means each signs after the previous. Parallel means everybody at once.
The single highest-return setting in the module.
Each signer gets their own link.

| Use for | Counterparty then countersignature. | Several people signing the same thing independently. |
| Speed | Slower — each waits. | Faster. |
| Risk | A slow signer blocks everybody. | Somebody signs a version another has not seen. |
| Default | Sequential for two-party contracts. | Parallel for internal approvals. |
Chasing and voiding
Reminders send automatically on the schedule you set. Turn them on — an envelope sitting for nine days is almost always somebody who meant to sign it and forgot, and a reminder resolves far more of them than a phone call does, because it arrives with the link.
If the wrong version went out, void the envelope and send a new one. Voiding notifies everybody who has already signed, which is correct — somebody who signed a document that is now void needs to know. There is no way to swap the document underneath a live envelope, and that is a feature.
What this does not do
Prepare the PDF elsewhere.
Every signer sees their fields; there is no branching.
Signers sign; they do not upload.
One envelope at a time.
A draft belongs to whoever prepared it.
Questions
Can we add a signer after sending?
No. Void and re-send.
What if an email address is wrong?
Void and re-send. The link goes to the address, so it cannot be corrected in flight.
Can a signer delegate?
Not within the product.
